        Assign a role to a group
        Once you have added a new group to Vantage, you need to assign a role, or roles, to the group.
        Propagation settings
        The Propagation settings page allows you to propagate a group to sensors, configure remote group permissions, and define scope restrictions. You can also enable single sign-on (SSO) through Vantage, allowing users to authenticate using their Vantage credentials. If SSO is disabled, the group functions as a local group on the sensors.

        The Propagations page shows which sensors the groups have been propagated to.

Connect a Guardian sensor with Vantage as IdP (example)

This example shows you how to connect a Guardian sensor to Vantage and assign users to a group named Admin. This will lets the users to use Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) to log in to the sensor.

Procedure

Configure the Guardian and connect it to Vantage.
Open the details page for the sensor.
Select Settings.
In the Sensor URL field, enter details such as: https://guardian1
Do the steps below to propagate a group: <Link to Single Sign-On>.
Select the Admin group.
Select Enable SSO through Vantage for this group.
Select Is admin.
In the Restrict Scope section, select Add Scope.
From the dropdown, select Sensor.
Open the Guardian.
In the username field, enter the correct username.
In the password field, enter the correct password.
Go to Settings > Users > Groups.
Wait until you see the Admin group show.
To view the security assertion markup language (SAML) configuration details, select SAML.
Log out of the Guardian.
The single sign-on (SSO) page shows.
Select Single Sign On.
You are logged into the Guardian with the credentials from Vantage.
