Protocols, Smart Polling, and Arc

A list of the improvements for Protocols, Smart Polling and Arc that have been introduced in this release.

  • ENG-355: Improved handling of invalid and unsupported Berkeley Packet Filter (BPF) filters. The system now rejects misconfigured filters gracefully instead of failing silently.
  • ENG-494: Smart Polling now detects when a sensor becomes stale, disconnected, or deleted, and automatically falls back to another available sensor to continue polling nodes that were previously reachable through the affected sensor.
  • N2OS-14468: Passive traffic monitoring now extracts vulnerability information from the Codesys v3 protocol, improving vulnerability management and risk calculations for these devices.
  • N2OS-17374: Introduced support for Phoenix Contact TSN devices in the EasySoft product family, enabling asset identification and information extraction from these devices.
  • N2OS-17403: This issue:
    • Introduced a new levels field for assets, which contains all unique level values from their associated nodes
    • Updated the asset level field to display a shared node level when all contributing nodes with non-empty values match; otherwise, the field remains empty
  • N2OS-17434: Introduced support for the Crestron protocol, enabling asset identification and information extraction for these devices.
  • N2OS-17507: Introduced support for the Advantech EdgeLink protocol, enabling protocol tagging and asset information extraction for these devices.
