Critical issue resolved in version 24.5.1
Issue: An issue affecting systems with a Guardian-to-Central Management Console (CMC) architecture, and with locally-defined zones was identified in Nozomi Networks Operating System (N2OS) version 24.5.0. This issue causes locally-defined zones to become locked once the CMC is updated to N2OS version 24.5.0.
Impact: When you connect Guardian sensors running N2OS version ≤ 24.4.1 to an upstream CMC running N2OS version 24.5.0, zones defined locally on Guardian become locked. This prevents local management from the Guardian where they were originally defined, and where users interact with them.
Affected N2OS versions: 24.5.0.
Resolution: Once a system is updated to N2OS version 24.5.1, the issue is resolved without the need for further manual intervention. Users are advised to not adopt N2OS version 24.5.0 and instead upgrade directly to N2OS version 24.5.1. Those already on N2OS version 24.5.0 should update to N2OS version 24.5.1 immediately to restore correct functionality.
