Updates in upcoming releases
Important changes in future releases that might require additional steps or planning during upgrade.
Assertion centralization and version requirements (upcoming)
Starting with Nozomi Networks Operating System (N2OS) v26.2.0, assertions will gain significant enhancements for centralized management from both Vantage and the Central Management Console (CMC). Assertions defined centrally will be able to run locally on each sensor, combining centralized control with true local evaluation. This improves detection resolution and alert accuracy for fast events across the operational environment.
These changes introduce an important version requirement. For centralized assertion management to work end‑to‑end, the CMC, and all connected sensors, must run N2OS v26.2.0 or later. Sensors that remain on versions earlier than N2OS 26.2.0 will continue to run their existing assertions as usual. However, any assertions created or edited on Vantage, or a CMC running N2OS v26.2.0 or later, will not be propagated to sensors running versions earlier than N2OS v26.2.0.
