Protocols, Smart Polling, and Arc

A list of the improvements for Protocols, Smart Polling and Arc that have been introduced in this release.

  • N2OS-16272: The Import Nodes functionality is now hidden in Central Management Console (CMC), as it is intended for use with Guardian only.
  • N2OS-16840: Addressed an issue which prevented the network elements limits to be correctly enforced on variables.
  • N2OS-17097: Contextual information for Sigma rule alerts has been enhanced. The alert details now contain the triggered rule name and the process responsible for the alert, as well as download the Windows event from the alert actions menu.
  • N2OS-17161: Improved resilience against invalid BPF filters.
  • N2OS-17259: Introduced a fix to allow export from the Assets page with custom fields.
  • N2OS-17266: Improved the Arc sensors configuration user interface (UI) to reflect separation between Arc Endpoint and Arc Network Sensor.
  • N2OS-17290: Smart Polling:
    • Smart Polling now supports plans with hourly scheduling
    • The Mitsubishi Electric MELSOFT strategy now correctly enriches nodes corresponding to the polled device modules with an internet protocol (IP) address
    • The simple network management protocol (SNMP) strategy now extracts physical links using the human-readable interface name
    • The SNMP strategy now supports CDP-MIB to retrieve physical link information
    • The SNMP strategy now provides a more complete hardware module overview by using information from both ENTITY-MIB and IF-MIB
    • The SNMP strategy now uses virtual local area network (VLAN)-specific community strings to retrieve physical link information for all VLANs
    • The MODBUS strategy is now more resilient to devices that respond in non-standard ways
    • Introduced a new Owl OPDS SSH Smart Polling strategy
    • Introduced a new Phoenix Contact FL SWITCH TSN 2000 Series strategy
  • N2OS-17296: The Mitsubishi Electric MELSOFT protocol has been augmented to extract more variables.
  • N2OS-17320: Introduced support for Eaton devices in the EasySoft family for tagging and asset information.
  • N2OS-17369: Arc UI menus associated with a license now appear immediately after the license is applied.
  • N2OS-17399: Fixed inverted trace deletion log messages in intrusion detection system (IDS) logs. The system now correctly logs successfully deleted on success and deletion failed on failure.
  • N2OS-17542: You can now force an upgrade to the latest Arc version available in Guardian from the Arc Deployment menu.
