CMC, Remote Collector, and AAA
A list of the improvements for the CMC, Remote Collector and Authentication, Authorization and Accounting that have been introduced in this release.
- Users can now use the centralized management features to configure and modify backups on downstream sensors from Vantage and/or Central Management Console (CMC)
- Added the concept of Sensor Scope to enable CMC users to define the target sensor(s) for zones
- Added the concept of Sensor Scope to enable CMC users to define the target sensor(s) for alert rules
- Added support for zone configurations management at mid-level CMCs
- Reduced the network bandwidth needed to synchronize nodes, links, variables and assets
- Improved security assertion markup language (SAML) response handling
- Added a new Zone configuration execution policy, Apply all, which provides greater flexibility in managing Zone configurations across sensors. This policy enables all configured zones to take effect irrespective of being created locally or upstream
- Zone configurations created at the sensor can be managed from Vantage while allowing sensors continued control over said zones
- Users are now able to configure a CMC as SAML identity provider from the user interface (UI)
- Eliminated the need for adding suffixes to zone names to differentiate them and avoid naming conflicts across sensors
- Improved the robustness of the sync of VI entities as node renames are also happening
- Improved and increased the speed of concurrent operations during the sync of VI entities
