Base OS

A list of the improvements for the operating system and GUI usability changes that have been introduced in this release.

  • Updated WolfSSL Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) library.
  • Updated FreeBSD to address CVE-2024-7589, CVE-2024-6759, CVE-2024-6760, CVE-2024-6640.
  • Addressed an issue causing anEnlarging ZFS partition gpart: table 'da1' is corrupt: Operation not permitted error when attempting to resize the ZFS partition for VMs with the /data directory located on a second disk. Now, resizing operations on ZFS partitions can proceed without encountering corruption or permission issues.
  • With Nozomi Networks Operating System (N2OS) 22.4.0, we upgraded the algorithms used for decrypting software licenses, because the ones used before were identified as unsafe. Towards the end of 2024, Nozomi Networks will distribute only licenses encrypted with the new set of algorithms. This means that starting from the end of 2024, all new N2OS software licenses and renewal software licenses will only work with sensors running at least N2OS 23.0.0. Users must upgrade their sensors to N2OS version 23.0.0 or higher to ensure compatibility with new licenses and avoid license renewal issues.
