Base OS

A list of the improvements for the operating system and GUI usability changes that have been introduced in this release.

  • Addressed an issue that resulted in the loss of communications with an RS1R after using certain commands to reset the communications configurations back to factory settings.
  • With Nozomi Networks Operating System (N2OS) 22.4.0, we upgraded the algorithms used for decrypting software licenses, because the ones used before were identified as unsafe. Towards the end of 2024, Nozomi Networks will distribute only licenses encrypted with the new set of algorithms. This means that starting from the end of 2024, all new N2OS software licenses and renewal software licenses will only work with sensors running at least N2OS 23.0.0. Users must upgrade their sensors to N2OS version 23.0.0 or higher to ensure compatibility with new licenses and avoid license renewal issues.
  • Implemented a security measure ensuring that psql command access is limited only to users that possess the credentials to properly elevate their privileges with the enable-me command.
