Hardware setup for Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC iQ-R PLC

The recommended physical setup for the Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC iQ-R programmable logic controller (PLC).

The RD55UP12-V module has two network interfaces. Arc uses one of these to connect to the upstream sensor. It is recommended to use the second network interface to monitor and have it connected to a switch SPAN port to get all the data from the central processing unit (CPU) module.

This setup works best in combination with Smart Polling enabled, leveraging the Mitsusbishi Electric MELSOFT strategy. The port used to connect to the upstream is also then used as a Smart Polling interface.
