Manually install the libmelco package

Users of Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC iQ-R can use this procedure to manually install the libmelco package when it cannot be downloaded from the update service.

Before you begin

Download the Linux (for MELCO) Arm 32 bit package from Guardian.

About this task

If an upstream Guardian has the libmelco package, it will be automatically installed. However, if the upstream Guardian is air-gapped, you will need to manually install it.

Procedure

Unzip the libmelco package to /usr/local/sbin/arc/
Open a shell console.
Enter the command: ./arc-linux-arm install_libmelco
This command extracts libmelco.so from the encrypted libmelco.bin file to /usr/local/lib as if it had been downloaded from the update service.

If Arc Embedded gets access to the update service after a manual installation, the libmelco package will be replaced with the most recent package available.

Results

The libmelco package is now installed.
