Failure to connect after static IP configuration

Identify and fix connection issues that occur after assigning a static internet protocol (IP) address to a Guardian Air device. Problems may result from file errors or network misconfiguration. This topic provides steps to verify and correct the settings.

Your dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server is not connected correctly.

Procedure

Check your DHCP server.

You did not write the configuration files correctly.

Procedure

  1. Turn off the power to the Guardian Air.
  2. Connect a universal serial bus (USB) pendrive to a desktop or laptop computer.
  3. Read the eth0-manual.network file to make sure that it is correct.
  4. If you found a mistake in the file, correct the mistake.
  5. Do the Configure a static IP address procedure again.
