Updates

Information on how Remote Collectors are updated.

A Remote Collector's release update depends on the Guardian that it is attached to.

Remote Collectors receive automatic updates from the Guardian to which they are attached. The Remote Collector updates to the Guardian version, only if the current Remote Collector firmware version is older than that of the Guardian.

Note: The Remote Collector container does not update automatically.

A Remote Collector has no graphical interface. The only other method for changing the version of a Remote Collector is to use the manual procedure described in Software updates and rollbacks Software update and rollback.
