Smart Polling in Arc
Arc sensors can run Smart Polling strategies in both offline and connected deployment modes.
The minimum conditions to run Smart Polling on Arc depend on whether Arc is running in offline or connected mode.
Arc offline mode
When Arc runs in Offline mode (disconnected from an upstream sensor), you configure Discovery and Smart Polling from the Arc local configuration UI.

Arc connected mode (Service and One-shot)
