Benchmark applicability
Vantage determines which benchmarks can run against a given Arc sensor based on platform compatibility and, for relevant-asset targeting, additional applicability checks.
Before a benchmark runs against an Arc sensor, Vantage checks that the benchmark applies to that sensor's platform.
Platform compatibility is based on the operating system (OS) family of the Arc sensor. A benchmark can only run against a sensor with a matching platform: Windows, Linux, or macOS.
When you target scans using the By relevant asset targeting mode, Vantage shows a summary of how many assets match before you save the schedule. The summary is based on the OS type and Category of the benchmarks in the policy. Explicit targeting modes (scope, asset list, or a custom query) still exclude a sensor with a confirmed platform mismatch. They do not require the same relevance summary check.
If no benchmark applies to a sensor, the scan for that sensor ends with a status of Not applicable.
