Import zone configurations

You can import zone configurations from a CSV file to create new ones or update existing ones in bulk.

Before you begin

Prepare a comma-separated value (CSV) file that includes a header row. For Update mode, the CSV must also include an ID column so that each row can be matched to an existing zone configuration.

Procedure

  1. In the top navigation bar, select Administration icon - which looks like a gear cog
    The administration page opens.
  2. In the Organization settings section, select Imports.
    The Imports page opens.
  3. Select Select import type and choose Zone Configurations.
The Import Zone Configurations page opens, and prompts you to choose a file.
  4. Choose your CSV file.
The file is uploaded and the File options step shows, with a confirmation that the file has been uploaded.

  6. Select Next.
The Fields binding step shows. This lets you map the columns from your CSV to the Vantage zone configuration fields.
  7. Map each column in your CSV to the corresponding Vantage field.
    Attention:
If you selected Update mode, you must bind the ID field. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be bound before you can continue.
  8. Select Next.
The Review step shows a summary of the zone configurations that will be created or updated. Only non-zero counts are shown. For example, 3 zone configurations will be created.
