Arc dependencies

The Arc dependencies page shows the dependencies used by the Arc sensors in your organization, and lets you apply actions to multiple sensors at once.

Arc dependencies page showing a table of dependencies with columns for Name, Description, Source, Dependency type, Operating system, and Available version

The table shows one row for each dependency that's used across the Arc sensors in your organization, with these columns. You can use the filter under each column header to narrow the list:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Source
  • Dependency type
  • Operating system
  • Available version

The Source column shows one of these values:

  • Arc bundle: The dependency ships with Arc
  • OS native: The dependency is part of the sensor's operating system (OS)
  • Customer uploaded: The dependency's bundle file is uploaded by your organization
  • The name of a third-party vendor (for example, Microsoft): The dependency is maintained externally by that vendor
Note:
The Arc dependencies page isn't shown for organizations in License-only mode.

For each dependency, the actions menu lets you apply an action to one or more sensors at the same time. The menu only shows the actions that apply to that dependency:

  • Install, Uninstall, and Update show for software dependencies, except those with a Source of OS native. For a Customer uploaded dependency, Install and Update also require a bundle to have already been uploaded.
  • Enable and Disable show for setting dependencies.
  • Download shows for dependencies other than those with a Source of OS native, and for Customer uploaded dependencies only once a bundle has been uploaded.
  • Upload shows only for Customer uploaded dependencies.

Sensors that require a reboot before an action can be applied aren't selectable in the target-sensor dialog.

Note:
For sensors running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, upload the Sysmon Legacy dependency instead of Sysmon. The latest compatible version is 13.34, and the bundle must be a ZIP archive containing Sysmon.exe and Sysmon64.exe.
