Protocols, Smart Polling, and Arc

A list of the improvements for Protocols, Smart Polling and Arc that have been introduced in this release.

  • N2OS-15714: Addressed an issue which caused Remote Collectors to stop syncing to Guardian in presence of some particular BPF filters configured from Guardian.
  • N2OS-16890: Introduced tagging and asset identification for the Juniper JunOS protocol.
  • N2OS-17054: Improved resiliency when processing node updates during internet protocol (IP) reassignments in dynamic networks.
  • N2OS-17082: Bosch cameras using RCP+ over hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) are now identified.
  • N2OS-17098: A message has been added to the asset-specific Vulnerabilities tab to inform users that, by default, vulnerabilities for tiered architectures are calculated only by the upstream.
  • N2OS-17154: Addressed a Central Management Console (CMC) issue that prevented the correct vulnerabilities count to be shown correctly in the Asset dialog, for assets coming from multiple sensors.
  • N2OS-17160: A setting for the HTTP protocol has been introduced to prevent assigning the web_server role to nodes on specific ports. This helps modelling situations where HTTP is used as a transport for information unrelated to actual web pages or similar.
  • N2OS-17208: Improved asset identification through the Omron-WebLink protocol.
  • N2OS-17222: Introduced tagging and asset identification for the Cognex discovery protocol.
  • N2OS-17245:
    • Smart Polling:
      • Addressed an issue with the Modbus strategy that caused some transmission control protocol (TCP) sessions to remain unclosed and to discard some valuable information.
      • The simple network management protocol (SNMP) strategy now has support for Cisco switches in stacked configuration, extracting information from the entire stack rather than just part of it.
      • The SNMP strategy now extracts sysObjectID as a property.
    • Discovery and Smart Polling:
      • New discovery and Smart Polling strategies for Eaton EasySoft.
      • Addressed an issue that caused plans with interval higher than one day to be incorrectly triggered every day.
