Synchronization settings
The Synchronization settings page lets you customize the parameters related to Vantage or Central Management Console (CMC).
Zones filter
Filter and manage zones to control which zones are marked as Filtered for upstream data transfer.
Add a zone for upstream synchronization
Set a zone to be Filtered so that entities in that zone can be updated with data from an upstream sensor. Use synchronization settings to select and enable the desired zones.

        The Custom fields page lets you create a custom field to the Nodes (All-In-One CMC only) and Assets tables. A custom field lets you add information that might be relevant to your organization, and cannot be extracted from network traffic.

        Enables lightweight network announcements to detect neighboring devices. Use this option to initiate device discovery within the local network. Discovery is disabled by default.

        The Firewall integrations page shows all the firewall integrations and lets you add new ones.

        The Credentials manager is a tool that lets you centralize the management of monitored endpoints to make it easier to create, delete, or update the credentials that are needed to access those endpoints.

Add a zone for upstream synchronization

Set a zone to be Filtered so that entities in that zone can be updated with data from an upstream sensor. Use synchronization settings to select and enable the desired zones.

About this task

To synchronize entities based on their zone value, you can specify a true | false value in a filter. For entities that have more than one zone, only one zone needs to be set to true for the entity to be synchronized.

Procedure

In the top navigation bar, select
A menu shows.
In the Settings section, select Synchronization settings.
The Synchronization settings page opens.
Choose a method to select one, or more, items.
- Select the top checkbox to select all the items in the current table view
- Select multiple checkboxes for the items that you want to choose
- Select the checkbox for the item that you want to choose
In the table, select the icon.
Select Add to filtered.

Results

The value in the Filtered column now shows as true and the zone will now be synchronized with the upstream sensor.
