Local UI
The default method to manage Arc is through the upstream Nozomi Networks product, which applies configurations to all Arc sensors in Service mode. However, it is also possible to manage Arc through a local UI for One-shot and Offline executions.

  - Configure an Arc sensor in Guardian
    You can configure an individual Arc sensor in Guardian directly from the Sensors details page for the related sensor.
  - Configure an Arc sensor in Vantage
    You can configure an individual Arc sensor in Vantage directly from the Sensors details page for the related sensor. Arc sensors in Service mode use these settings.
  - Local UI

    - Configuration
      The Configuration page lets you define upstream connection settings, execution options, protection preferences, and traffic monitoring parameters for the Arc sensor.

      The Latest run section shows the status and mode of the latest run that was executed.
    - Asset inventory

    - Open the local UI
      The local UI lets you manage Arc without the use of a parent system software. It gives you access to the Status page to monitor the status of Arc executions, and the Configuration page to configure Arc executions. You can double-click the executable file to open it, or use the command-line interface (CLI).

Hardware components

The Hardware components tab shows the list of hardware devices connected to the host.

The Hardware components tab displays the hardware devices detected on the host. Selecting a device in the list shows its detailed properties in the detail panel, which includes the following fields:

Friendly name

The human-readable name of the device.

Device type

The category of the device, for example, Disk drives or Network adapters.

Description

A description of the device as reported by the operating system (OS).

Vendor

The manufacturer of the device.

Hardware ID

The hardware identifier string used by the OS to match the device against drivers.

Physical object name

The physical object name of the device in the kernel namespace.

Status

The operational status of the device.

Can be disabled

Indicates whether the device can be disabled.

Can be enabled

Indicates whether the device can be enabled.

Can be ejected

Indicates whether the device can be safely ejected.

Parent ID

The instance identifier of the parent device in the hardware tree.

Location information

A text string identifying the physical location of the device as reported by the bus driver, for example, Port_#0001.Hub_#0002 for universal serial bus (USB) devices.

Location paths

One or more structured paths that trace the device's position through the Windows device tree, from the peripheral component interconnect (PCI) root down to the specific port. For example, PCIROOT(0)#PCI(1400)#USBROOT(0)#USB(1).
