Compliance scanning
Arc is the sensor that Compliance scans run against. Compliance scans run only when they are requested from the upstream system that manages the sensor.
Configuration
Compliance scanning is enabled or disabled from the upstream system that manages this Arc sensor. This setting does not appear in Arc's own local configuration user interface (UI).
Supported platforms
Compliance scanning is supported on Windows, Linux, and macOS Arc sensors.
On-disk layout
Arc stores compliance data in a compliance folder next to the Arc executable, with benchmarks and results subfolders. This folder is preserved across a re-setup of Arc.
Licensing and availability
Compliance is a licensed feature, and the license comes from the upstream system that manages this Arc sensor. The Compliance item appears in Arc's local navigation bar only when both of these conditions are met:
- A valid Compliance license has been received from the upstream system.
- The Compliance feature is enabled for this sensor, from the upstream machine.
You enable the Compliance feature for a sensor from the upstream machine. For the steps, see Enable or disable Compliance on an Arc sensor.
